Sound Estate Watch — Professional Estate & Home Oversight
Last Updated: {{Insert Date}}

Sound Estate Watch provides professional Home Watch and estate oversight services. Our services are visual-only, designed to help homeowners reduce risk, stay informed, and maintain peace of mind while away. Our work does not replace licensed inspections, security services, or emergency response providers.

Please read this Disclaimer carefully.

1. Home Watch Is Not a Home Inspection

Sound Estate Watch follows the National Home Watch Association (NHWA) definition of Home Watch:

“A visual inspection of a home or property, looking for obvious issues.”

Our visits are not:

  • certified home inspections
  • structural evaluations
  • code-compliance checks
  • insurance inspections
  • mold, pest, or mechanical system inspections

We do not use diagnostic tools or dismantle any component of your home.

Sound Estate Watch is not a security company or alarm monitoring provider.
We do not:

  • guarantee crime prevention
  • provide 24/7 monitoring
  • respond to alarms
  • chase intruders
  • install or monitor security systems

If signs of forced entry or suspicious conditions are discovered, we notify the client and recommend contacting law enforcement.

While we offer storm-response visits, Sound Estate Watch is not an emergency remediation company.

We are not responsible for:

  • active leaks or failures occurring outside scheduled visits
  • storm damage that occurs before we arrive
  • utility outages
  • natural disasters
  • failures of plumbing, HVAC, pumps, heaters, or any mechanical system

We do not guarantee immediate response during regional storms, power outages, or hazardous conditions.

Our reports reflect the conditions visibly present at the time of the visit.

We do not detect:

  • hidden water damage
  • mold inside walls, crawlspaces, or attics
  • structural movement or settlement
  • electrical failures behind panels
  • roof leaks not visible from the ground
  • slow leaks or intermittent failures

No Home Watch provider can guarantee detection of every issue.

While Home Watch reduces risk, it cannot prevent all damage.

We are not liable for:

  • damages that occur between scheduled visits
  • issues hidden from view
  • damages resulting from delayed client decisions
  • contractor errors or failures
  • appliance failures
  • HVAC, plumbing, or electrical failures

Our service is an observational risk-reduction service, not a damage-prevention guarantee.

Contractor oversight services include:

  • allowing access
  • observing progress
  • confirming arrival/departure
  • documenting basic site conditions

Oversight does not include:

  • project management
  • confirming code compliance
  • verifying workmanship quality
  • approving completed work
  • assuming liability for contractor performance

Clients contract directly with their service providers.

Sound Estate Watch does not provide:

  • insurance policy guidance
  • legal recommendations
  • real estate advice
  • financial or tax advice

We may share observations, but all decisions belong to the homeowner.

To receive full benefit from our services, clients are responsible for:

  • maintaining proper insurance coverage
  • approving emergency repairs in a timely manner
  • keeping access information current
  • notifying us of contractors scheduled to visit the property
